About the project

The Masculinities Project aims to explore the relationships between men, masculinities and post-coital pregnancy avoidance. It is a PhD project based at the London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK, and with additional supervision and support from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

What is post-coital pregnancy avoidance? This term is used to described methods that can be used after sex to avoid a pregnancy. These methods are predominantly emergency contraceptive pills (to avoid conception after sex) and abortions (to avoid the continuation of a pregnancy).
